IDW Publishing presents the ultimate crossover event as the heroes of G.I. Joe and TRANSFORMERS will combine their forces to become the ultimate planetary defense against evil. Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, inducts planet Earth into the Cybertronian Council of Worlds. In one swift action a moment of peace is torn apart by a terrorist strike aimed at the Cybertron people.

The writers behind this story are David A. Rodriguez and Mairghread Scott who launch the war between the Autobots and humans of Earth.  A public relations seminar between the two planets of Cybertron and Earth ends in disaster for the Autobots and G.I. Joe come under attack by COBRA and Baron Ironblood. The evil and powerful organization seeks to destroy the presence of Cybertron and the Autobots from the Earth. They believe if another Cybertron War were to take place the human race will perish as collateral damage between the Autobots and Decepticons.

Max Dunbar creates an artwork masterpiece as the lines, colors, and tones all blend together to create a vivid picture whether exploring action or scenery. Sharp lines create the elaborate body structures to the Autobots and the towering landscape of city buildings and foundations. Bright colors give life to the dynamic look each character possesses as they pop off the pages of the comic book. A large arsenal of color is utilized to represent the individualism of characters and the power or energy they wield.

The next issues to emerge from this ongoing series will deliver an all out war between the Autobots who wish to protect the Earth and the humans who reject the robotic people. What will happen to the Autobots and G.I. Joe as Cobra Command launches its full-scale attack? Found out more as the fate of Cybertron comes to light in First Strike.
