The Power Rangers are defeated and broken as Lord Drakkon manages to slay one of the Rangers most prominent members, Tommy Oliver. The timeline becomes more disrupted as Lord Drakkon’s armies continue to conquer warriors from all across the morphing grid.
Kyle Higgins isn’t afraid to cross the line between life and death within this issue. The stakes are high and continue to grow as the fate of the universe becomes apparent to the teenagers with attitude. The narrative pushes forward with deep insight to the lore of the Rangers while delivering emotion, action, and suspense.
The Pink Time Force Ranger informs Zordon, Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini and Kimberly about the fractured space-time continuum. These Rangers journey across dimensional rifts to encounter Lord Drakkon. But our heroes were too late for Lord Drakkon defeated the fabled Samurai Rangers in their home stealing their incredible strength and abilities sought to protect the Earth.
The artwork is clean with sharp line work and powerful colors. Daniele Di Nicuolo and Walter Baiamonte are ideal when crafting a beautiful world one that fits the tone and make up of the Power Rangers but also drives the emotion and action to its full potential.
Lines and shapes hold a basic quality being complete and solid. Detail upon the characters and background is kept to a minimum for the extra lines are not needed to express the nature of what is happening.
The main star of the comic book would be the colors that pop in every panel and scene of the issue. Colors blend tend to blend upon characters for flesh tone and light sources.
Most of the intended hues are solid and kept in place without color mixture or fades. In terms of action with the Power Rangers the colors grow in intensity, being more vibrant to establish unique powers and dangers in correspondence with the story.
The conclusion leads to more potential for the Rangers as Lord Drakkon has begun to invade different timelines. He is stealing the powers from Rangers of these unique timelines and adding it to his own arsenal. Who and what timeline will be targeted next? How can the Rangers defeat someone who is growing more powerful to eventually become invincible?
